Training program
ISAR's training program is designed to assist NGOs fill the gap in professional skills that has resulted from the mass exodus of professionals from all sectors of the RFE. Specifically, ISAR works to improve training capacity of 18 trainers from nine different regions of the Russian Far East though the completion of train the trainer courses.
Train the trainer courses include: Leadership; Fundraising; Basic Social Marketing; Decision Making; Team Building; Planning; Proposal Writing; Conflict Resolution; Efficient Communication; Organizational Theory; Project Monitoring and Evaluation; and the Theory of Experential Learning. While receiving training from ISAR, the team develops and tailors training materials for use in RFE NGOs. Each of the trainers then leads at least two NGO training sessions in their respective regions per year. This training is crucial to the development of civil society in the RFE, as trainers both educate large segments of the population about the potential impacts of civil society and disperse broadly applicable NGO management skills. Furthermore, ISAR has also put trainers in contact with other training organizations in Russia and the US, developed a training materials database, and provided access to Trainet for ISAR consultants to promote the continued development of professional training skills among trainers.
